Med Kit

Post by Ted-Pencry on 25/3/2013, 18:54

This is the minimum that can be carried in all types of environments, it takes up no room and can be put in a mini pouch on the belt, even in a suit it is undetected and doesn't bulge out

Tourniquet
Celox or Quikclot
Israeli Bandage
Nightingale dressing or Chest Seal
Gloves
Rescue Shears
Wound closure strips
Small gauzes and dressings/bandages
Foil blanket
Glucose sweets
Plasters
Aspirine/Nurofen/Tums/Immodim
adhesive tape
OP airway

This personal med kit can be used anywhere in the world, corporate or Hostile, it is discreet.
Obviously it is meant to be carried on the operative and won't replace a complete med kit that the medic has.

You might also be wondering why small medication is included in the med kit.
Its because a lot of guys forget about the small things, they go on internet buying Celox, Quikclot, Israeli Bandages and EMT shears and are very eager to have the great kit but they forget the essentials....

There is a much higher chance your principal will get a massive headache or heartburn that will be ruining his day rather than bleed out from his femoral artery...

What will you reply when he asks you for Aspirin or Nurofen for his tooth ache? What will you reply when he asks you for a plaster for his small cut or for his son's knee because he has just fallen over playing.

We forget the small details but the small details count as well.

In order to quickly get to the CAT you can buy special CAT holders to go on your belt or even an ankle holder.
