New Uniforms for the Ivory Coast Presidential Guard
Since the fall of the regime of Laurent Gbagbo, the Ivorian uniformed CP Unit were very difficult to be identified: too many new units, too many old units. This saga gave a big advantage to unscrupulous individuals who usurped high security functions.
In order to be better recognized and identified the Ivorian Armed Forces have received a large number of F1 and F2 uniforms manufactured by SOFEXI (French Company) who also supplied hats, boots, and belts.
52,000 uniforms and kit have been delivered to the Republican Guard (2000), the mobile gendarmerie (7000), the Gendarmerie (11,000), the Army (24,500), Navy (2 000), the Air Force (2000), the GSPR (Ivorian GOV CP UNIT) (1500) and Police (2000).
It is rumored that copies ("Chinese") are already in circulation! Indeed, there has been a "leak" . Consequences: It will be like it was before!!!
