Good morning CPD.

I am a moderator on CP World, a medical trainer and a maritime instructor as well as working the relief circuit in aviation security.

Based in the Channel Islands I am the MD of two companies, supplying goods and training.

CPW members are most welcome here. (I have a lot of respect for what CPW has done for the security industry over the years)

I thought about joining CPW a month ago when CPD was created to make an announcement but I think it would have been a bit wrong to do that.

Would be wrong joining CPW just to talk about CPD and not participate in the forum discussions, I honestly would not have the time to take care of CPD and also post on CPW.

I am sure CPW and CPD will be complimentary to each other.
CPD has a different way of doing things than CPW, I don't know if it is better or not, but its my view that as security professionals, security must be a part of our lives even when we are not on the job, this includes forums and protecting ourselves on the internet.

The positive side is obviously the added protection for all of us here and the protection of companies, the negative side will obviously be the traffic and member numbers as it will be very hard creating multiple usernames on CPD in order to bash other companies, advertise a company posing as an individual member, or just to cause general havoc and heated discussions.

Thanks Ted. I agree that there needs to be somewhere that known members can share solid information, looking forward to getting stuck in!

I appreciate it, there was no need as you registered with a company domain name but thanks for the forum as funds help pay for the domain name and forum costs like extra file space on the forum. In a few months down the line if a few companies have paid for advertisement I will donate to Help for Heroes and if we can save funds CPD will be able to organise networking meetings and participate in things like the CT expo.

No worries, I hope to pay for some advertising once I have found my way around. :)
