Hi Lynx,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but ... do you see any value in having different CV's for different work? For example, a "skills only" CV or one that omits certain work depending on the type of role you're applying for?

I've just submitted my CV for your proof reading service and looking forward to getting the feedback.

Regards

I have received your email and will send feedback in about
an hour. I always recommend having a basis CV and tailoring it to suit the
specific role you are applying. So if you are applying for CP role then have CV
tailored to CP if general security then a generalised CV. However one key area
I always say is your letter. That is the key area to show the capabilities and
the area to sell yourself. A CV should be a story a simple but effective story
were an employer will think I WANT MORE. Capturing the imagination.

Too many people try to over sell them self K.I.S.S Keep it
simple stupid. Best saying ever.

What is the advantage of a hushmail account over something like GMX? I am going through the list of questions you provided and I'm curious.

Cheers

I have never used GMX so not quite sure. I recommend people using HUSHMAIL as its a way of sending information relatively secure. Example. You don’t put personal information on your CV well I don’t recommend it, If the employer wants you they will ask for it. Use an encrypted email account for sending certain pieces of information that way you have a confirmed source on its location and know its being read by the said individual or group.

Being a security professional it makes sense to practice what you breach if you excuse the pun. To much information is out there on individuals, OPSEC, PERSEC all the time. Show your security aware and employers like that. Shows initiative.

Hushmail is quite good.

The person at the other end needs the password in order to read and decrypt the email.
