Hello all,

Hope this message finds you all well and safe. I have just been allowed to join CPD, so thank you to the guys who made that happen :)

A little about me.... (sorry for the bore!)

I am ex military (11 years Royal Signals as a geeky Radio Op and 3 years in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps as a dog handler / trainer.) I left last year, fully fit, with exemplary service and in one piece!!! I do miss it, as does everyone leaving a team which ends up being family!

I completed my course with Ronin Concepts, (with a geeky distiction!) I also attended and passed surveillance courses and then was employed with the same surveillance company when I left the mob.

I am currently trying to break into the CP world and finding it very difficult, (as is everyone; which I read on a lot of forums etc.) This, however, hasn't phased me to put my all into finding work as I know I can be an asset, being 1) female and 2) I make a mean brew! lol
Joking aside, I have joined this domain to try and pick people's brains for advice and pointers if possible.
The one thing that is my problem at the moment, is having no experience. And the vicious circle continues.... no job, no experience, no job...etc.

I've probably bored you enough if you have read down this far!
Many thanks for your time.

Steph :)

Hello and welcome to the forum Steph.

Thankyou for the informative intro , it`s nice to hear a bit of background information from fellow members , not a bore at all!

Networking and working on Events is a good way to get yourself known on the circuit, hopefully then progressing onto CP. There are also a few companies the specialise in female CPO`s that you may also be aware of?

Regards
Stuart.

Many thanks for the welcome and advice Stuart. I didnt know of any UK based female speialised companies (and I have done a lot of trawling!) I'll get my head in the books again and try to find them :)

I do a lot of networking but it seems to be with people who are after men and the hostile side of life :0(

Hi Steph, I can think of one company off the top of my head who are geared towards female CPO's , Athena , they carry out 'family protection' of domestic and foreign families. Might be worth getting in touch with them?

There are a couple of well known female CPO's , I will PM you their names when you are a verified member as I'm not sure they would want their names posted. I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving you some tips and advice from a female perspective.

Regards,
Stuart.
