Medic, UK
Medics required to cover swims between 11-18 July. It will involve being on a boat in the English Channel for upwards of 18 hours, providing medical assistance to the swimmers should they need it. A number of the swimmers have diabetes so experience of dealing with the condition is preferable, although not essential. Likely problems are sea sickness, hypothermia, diabetic problems and jellyfish stings.
Medics will need to bring their own kit, but the cost of kit and any other expenses will be refunded.
Contact lynsey.thompson@diabetes.org.uk for more information.
