Inmarsat IsatPhone2

Many people who travel to hostile environments are familiar with the mobile satellite handsets available from the likes of iridium and Thuraya.  But the IsatPhone from Inmarsat is less well known.

It has been around for few years and the latest variant IsatPhone2 has just been launched.

Giving coverage across the inmarsat network it is a cost effective alternative to the other providers.

The terminal cost is USD912.00 and can be registered either as pre-pay or post pay.  As an example, a 500 unit pre-pay card, valid for 12 months can cost as little as USD500.00.  A one minute IsatPhone to fixed line call will cost one-unit so, effectively, it costs $1.00 per minute.
