My client, who is a major telecoms provider, is now seeking a Training Specialist for their operations in Saudi Arabia, you will be reporting to the Design and Development Manager
Primary Objectives and Functions:
• Provide expert advice and guidance on training matters to assist with preparation of project plans and their implementation.
• Provide support to Company Training development for current and new projects.
• Support training scoping activities and meetings engaging with MoD /SANG personnel and Sub-contractors.
Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities:
• Provide prompt expert advice, guidance and support to Company project teams.
• Maintain a record of all projects and the status of any training content.
• Liaise with NGSS staff to aid planning and maintain knowledge of current training and on-going training developments.
• Liaise with the UK MoD, Company New Business, Delivery and O&M, the SANG and equipment manufacturers to gather information on identified tasks.
• Advise on MoD/SANG technician Job Specifications and Operational Performance Statements (OPS) as required.
• Lead the Company Training Needs and Development Engineers where required on tasks relating to training analysis, design & development.
• Be prepared to take on line management responsibility for other training analysis and design staff.
• To maintain an efficient personal filing system and system of priorities.
• To be pro-active in developing own knowledge and skills and in developing the work of the team.
• Deputise for the Company Training Design and Development Manager
Contact With Others (Internally / Externally / Meetings):
Internally: All levels within Company.
Medium level of contact with the SANG personnel
High level of contact with the UK MoD personnel.
Externally: Medium level of contact with the SANG personnel in regions.
Medium level of contact with the UK MoD personnel in regions.
Meetings As directed by Company Training Design and Development Manager
Judgement / Decision Making Authority (Specific Responsibilities):
• Make recommendations for training interventions
• Allocate and prioritise tasks among team members
• Influence training policy
Recruitment Specification (Knowledge And Experience):
• At least 5 years experience of working with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT). TNA Practitioner (Desirable)
• A relevant qualification at, minimum, National Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 5 (HNC)
• Must have evidence of successfully delivering training needs analysis and courseware packages.
• Proven line management responsibility for training analysis/design/development in a military or relevant private sector organisation.
• Time management skills coupled with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external customers.
• Must possess excellent research skills and have a proven record of management reporting to deadlines.
• Have excellent writing skills and be computer literate in the full range of MS Office products.
• Must be solution oriented, self motivated and innovative in approach to problem solving and be committed to providing high quality training input into Project Plans.
• A valid driving license from country of origin.
• Experience of working in the Middle East (preferably Saudi Arabia) desirable.
• Must be fluent in English.
As this role is based in Saudi Arabia, candidates must meet all of the minimum qualifications as they are not bound by UK or EU Laws, also individuals over the age of 50 will also not be considered for any of these roles.
