Hello all members of CPD,

my name is Paul Rice and i have recently completed 22 years service in the Army and im now looking for cp work in the hostile enviroment. I have my SIA in close protection as well as btech in survallience and my FPOS (i) . i am now activly seeking work and any advice or contacts would be greatly appreciated

Hello Paul, welcome to the forum.

The only advice i can give you is to network through forums such as this and build up a solid base of contacts. I use Linkedin and have made some excellent contacts and friends leading to work this way.

Don`t forget to verify your CPD membership so you can use the full forum. If there is a bit of a delay don`t worry as Ted (the Admin) is sometimes tied up on a task.

Good luck with your quest, wish you well just make sure you are employable. You are competing with the hundreds and thousands for those very few positions. Try Garda World, HART, G4S, Olive, Edinburgh Risk, ARG. These companies give the new to the circuit guys a chance. Just make sure you have a impacting CV. Trust me if its shite then it gets put to back of the cue or the bin.
