The British Bodyguard Association
I must say that I have tried and tested many CP associations in different countries.
The one that stands out for me is the British Bodyguard Association.

Re: The British Bodyguard Association
I must admit, I have been thinking about joining the BBA for a while now. HOWEVER, I just can't see spending £50 justified. I know I've said the same thing on a different forum and I'm repeating myself.
So I guess my question is this:
To those who are a member of the BBA, have you had any positive out comes because of the direct link with the BBA?
(It doesn't just have to be on the employment side of things)

Re: The British Bodyguard Association
To be honest, the forum is hardly used. I now find that the US side, the NABA have individuals posting 'quotes' or 'what would you do next scenarios' - both things on the useless side as discussions do not evolve to any great extent - the initial poster rarely pipes up again.
The magazine is good so £50 for a years subscription is justified.

Charlie,
You can join without a second thought mate!
If it wasn't worth every single penny I would not have put this thread up on a professional forum like CPD.
You will make valuable contacts and you get the circuit magazine which is the best magazine out there for CPO's and MSO's.
Go for it you won't regret it. I back my statement 200%.
The guy heading the BBA is called Shaun West and he is a true professional.

Hi Charlie,
Just wish to agree with Ted-Pencry mate!
I have been a member with the BBA for over two years now and before this forum, i was helped with many questions i had being a newbie to this way of life. All great answers which really helped me.
The circuit magazine has got better and better and is worth the membership alone.
The business cards are the dog bollocks and everyone who i have given one to seemed to be impressed, as they are made out of plastic and not cheap card. Great to clean windows in these cold mornings but at least they may remember me via the card!!!!!!!
If you have any more questions please PM me and if i can i will help.
I am also 200% behind this membership and look forward to see where this and the BBA forum will grow into.
Best Regards and Say Safe.

Re: The British Bodyguard Association
Just wanted to add a point to this thread I am not a member of the BBA but I do know Shaun West who as Ted says runs the BBA we did our cp course together and he has gone from strength to strength. He started out in hostile environment then crossed over to main stream cp work as the saying goes he has been there and done it. So he knows what he is talking about and also a good bloke. Just my humble two pence worth.
