Hi All,

My name is Phil Matthews and I am a (civilian) Bristol based researcher into Combatives History which dovetails into a lot on CP Training.

I have some published work but the majority of it is online on the following website:

Link Here

I followed a post on another resource by Mick Coup to this forum, I hope to learn lots here.

All the best

phil

Hi Phil and welcome to the forum!

I have studied a lot of Israeli Systems and although systems like Kapap and Krav Maga are fairly recent, a lot of the techniques in these 2 systems have been taken from original Close Combat and Fairbairn and Sykes have had a massive influence on the 2 above systems.

Hi Phil,

Welcome to the forum. If you're dovetailing a lot then my book may be of interest. It concentrates on training standards and how these affect and 'effect' standards on the street.

If you need any questions answered in your research then don't hesitate to fire off a pm to me.
