Chauffeur Central London Empty Chauffeur Central London

I am not the POC

My client an international financial services group with significant operations across the globe is now seeking an additional Chauffeur.

You will be part of a two man team reporting to the Business Manager and you will provide a 'security aware' chauffeur service to a Senior Director, Executive Board Member, external VIP customer or client, as directed by the Business Manager.

Principal Accountabilities:
• To monitor possible threats, and plan and execute appropriate measures to collect, convey and safely deliver senior executives and/or Board members, in a manner that limits their level of exposure to risk of physical harm, or embarrassment.
• To ensure that they and their passengers are punctual at all times.
• To carry passengers in a comfortable and efficient manner, driving with due regard to other road users, road traffic laws, and the safety of passengers and driver at all times.
• To be presentable in appearance at all times, and to keep the vehicle in a clean and serviceable condition, both inside and out, on all occasions.
• To be courteous to passengers and to convey a good impression of the company to VIPs and external customers alike.
• To exercise tact and discretion in their conduct towards passengers, and with regard to any sensitive information overheard concerning the passenger(s) and/or the company business.
• To ensure that the vehicle is locked and secure when unattended, and that passengers' belongings temporarily left in the vehicle are secure and out of sight.
• To cover for other chauffeurs and to drive other individuals as requested by manager, or the executive director, or senior management secretaries.
• To conduct daily work in a manner conducive to effective team working.
• To operate within Corporate Property's policies and procedures, particularly those related to the acceptance of gifts and hospitality and Information Security.
• To attend any training courses and medical examinations that is deemed necessary by the company.
• To support any reasonable requests as required from time to time by the line manager.

Core Competences Required:

Essential
• Full (clean) UK driving license for at least five years.
• Experienced driver with extensive practical experience.
• Advanced driving skills. (RoSPA advance qualification preferred).
• Previous experience as chauffeur to a senior board member or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of routes in London, Suburbs, Airports and the rest of the UK.
• Discrete, honest, flexible and reliable.
• Capable of carrying out dynamic risk assessment, identifying, planning and responding to a range of security and protocol related threats, and independently implementing strategies to avoid, or mitigate risk.

Desirable
• The post holder will need strong interpersonal and communications skills. He or she will also need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• The post holder will also be able to demonstrate confidence, skill, and experience as a chauffeur.
• Consistently demonstrates a positive response to the changing needs of the client, the environment and external pressures.
• The nature of the duties undertaken requires a commitment to working overtime, sometimes at very short notice, which may include unsociable hours.
• FAAW qualified (useful).
• Basic IT knowledge (useful).

This role would suit someone who lives within 30 minutes driving travel of Victoria in London as there is one vehicle and two drivers sharing the role.

Please note that this is NOT a security role, but a chauffeur/Driver role.

The ideal individual would be someone who is probably an ex RLC staff car driver who has excellent knowledge of London and the surrounding areas who is looking for a long term role within this company.

They are offering an excellent salary package, with overtime payments and benefits package and the security of working within a FTSE leading international company.
