Hytera X1P - Love it or Hate it!!


Hytera has recently launched its latest covert radio variant, the X1P.  This is a development of the X1E which has proven very popular since its launch last year.


The X1P adds a display and keyboard to the back of the X1E form factor, essentially giving you two radios in one.  It incorporates a speaker and microphone on each side giving flexibility of operation.


When using it with the display side facing you the PTT is on the right of the radio, which does take some getting used to.  However, as these units will most often be used with some form of audio accessory, this isn't really an issue.


Have a look at it on the website The images currently show it with the stubby antenna, but there is an option for a rather Gucci ultra-slim titanium version.


These are available in UHF and VHF and are all GPS enabled, allowing them to be tracked on a suitable software tracking system.
